Reviews about Active Physiotherapy

  • Highly recommended, I have received superior care here. From the lovely ladies at the front desk, tailoring appointments to fit my hectic schedule, to the outstanding care received from physio Stuart Cheval. Without him, I probably would have had to put my life on hold, but thankfully I have found Heal where the goal is not only to heal the injury, but to strengthen the body so it doesn't return. I am on my way to full recovery!

  • A nice friendly clinic with skilled hands-on physiotherapists. I'd recommend Heal Physio to anyone who needs help with an injury or improving fitness. They run Pilates classes too!

  • When we moved to the manufactured homes village just outside of Casino in early January 2015, I was already a member of the local health club. But the only intro to a new physiotherapist I had was a sign I had seen in a row of shops on the highway heading out to Lismore. I have Parkinson's which had been diagnosed the day before my 70th birthday in 2012. I had never been in a gym in my life since high school, and any running or walking for exercise had been put in the freezer compartment by the Parkinson's. However I had been helped with balance and mobility problems thru physio and gym work from early days. When my husband became one of Stuart's patients--yes remembering the fateful sign, he asked about someone who could help me with what the Parkinson's was doing to my forward neck posture and the Parkinson's other stealthy work at challenging my mobility A live shot of me walking in our front door on the Security Camera footage in Brisbane had given us very unsettling proof of serious deterioration. Right person (Stuart), right place (just up the road), right time (immediate help on the way) Stuart works with people like me from the perspective of experience and a thorough understanding of the Parkinson's process. His work embodies the principles set out on the Active Physiotherapy Casino website. Worth a look to be assured that the practice extends a lot further than a patient presenting with a movement disorder disease. That I have a good chance of not ending up with the classic Turtle Neck posture and the shuffling gait so often seen in Parkinson's, will be due to a physiotherapy practitioner who knows his stuff (University of Queensland of course), is ecumenical in his approach to therapy choices and develops his patients' programs through having a keen eye for what is or is not working. He is also guiding me through the Rehab work for recovery from Rotator Cuff Repair surgery-- prognosis is good for the recovery I need to get back to work at the gym. Lucky us that I noticed the sign that day.

  • Thank you Stuart Cheval for fixing my problem, and for so thoroughly explaining the “whats and whys” of my symptoms. In my opinion, your expertise, communication skills, and professionalism are of the very highest order. The other staff I engaged with are fantastic too. I highly recommend Active Physiotherapy, Casino.
